This oversized jam jar represents the overconsumption of products in the United States. While the label says 13 ounces, the jar is actually 500% larger than a regular 13-ounce jar. It may say “Made in France,” and maybe once it was, but this specific version symbolizes the added, unhealthy ingredients and excess we’ve allow to be added to American-made products. Instead of supporting this kind of overproduction and artificial consumption, we should be putting our money into places like the Iowa State Fair, farmers markets, and local markets.
